Bob Sinclar

Bob Sinclar, born Christophe Le Friant in 1969, is a French DJ and producer who became one of the key figures of French house music from the late 1990s onward. He began his career amid the French touch scene, later founding the label Yellow Productions, which became a launchpad for his own releases as well as other French dance acts.

His biggest breakthrough came with «Love Generation» in 2005, a song built on an uplifting piano riff and warm, disco-inflected house groove that became a global hit and a staple of Sinclar's sound: joyful, melodic, radio-friendly house aimed as much at festival crowds as at club dancefloors. He followed it with other hits such as «World, Hold On» and «Rock This Party», consistently favoring bright, sample-driven productions over darker or more minimal house styles.

Over a career spanning decades, Sinclar has remained a fixture of European club and festival culture, releasing steadily and adapting his sound to newer strands of dance music while staying identified with the feel-good, anthemic house he helped popularize in the 2000s.
