bnkr44 is an Italian musical collective from Villanova, a village near Empoli in Tuscany. Formed in 2019 by a group of friends who had been meeting since 2012 in a converted family workshop they called their «bunker», the project brings together several members handling vocals, rap, guitar, and production, unified under one collective name rather than a single frontperson. Their sound moves fluidly across indie pop, rap, and rock, often within the same song, giving their records a loose, genre-blending feel rooted in a strong sense of place and friendship.

After building an audience through SoundCloud and YouTube uploads, bnkr44 connected with the Rome-based label Bomba Dischi, which supported the release of their debut album «44.DELUXE». The record introduced their signature mix of intimate songwriting and playful, communal energy, accompanied by a short documentary that gave outsiders a look inside their actual bunker studio.

Since then, bnkr44 has continued releasing music that keeps its DIY, collective spirit while reaching wider Italian audiences, with tracks like «Sabbia», «Disordine», and «GIRASOLE» showing their range across softer pop moments and more rhythmic, rap-inflected songs. Their story is closely tied to their hometown and to the idea of a shared creative space, which remains central to how they present themselves as a group rather than as individual artists.
