About the artist
Blue are an English boy band formed in London in 2000, consisting of Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan, and Simon Webbe. They emerged during the early-2000s British pop boom, distinguishing themselves from peers with an R&B-influenced sound and vocal harmonies rooted in soul and hip-hop production, rather than pure teen-pop. Their debut single «All Rise» in 2001 launched them into the UK charts, and their debut album of the same name reached number one, establishing them as one of the era's defining pop acts.
Following hits such as «Too Close», «If You Come Back», and «Fly By II», Blue continued their commercial run with the albums One Love (2002) and Guilty (2003), amassing multiple UK top-ten singles and a devoted fanbase before disbanding in 2005. The group's blend of boy-band charisma with more mature, R&B-leaning songwriting helped them stand apart from other UK pop groups of the period.
Blue reformed in 2009 and represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 with «I Can». Their comeback continued through television specials, the album Roulette (2013), and Colours (2015), maintaining their status as one of Britain's most recognizable pop groups even as their commercial peak shifted from the charts to nostalgia-driven live performances and reunions.
