Blood On the Dance Floor

Blood on the Dance Floor is an American electronic act formed in Orlando, Florida, in 2006, best known for its brash blend of crunkcore, electropop, and rap-inflected vocals. Its most recognized lineup, active from 2009 to 2016, paired founding member Dahvie Vanity with Jayy Von Monroe, whose theatrical, deliberately provocative visual style and stage presence became central to the group's identity.

Over roughly a decade, the duo released nine studio albums, building a devoted fanbase within the scene alongside acts like Jeffree Star and Millionaires, while also drawing significant controversy over lyrical content and off-stage allegations against Vanity. Songs like «Sexting», «Ima Monster», and «Candyland» exemplify the group's high-energy, hypersexualized, and deliberately abrasive aesthetic.

The group split in 2016 after Von Monroe's departure. Vanity revived Blood on the Dance Floor in 2017, briefly with Fallon Vendetta, before continuing solo. The act's final album, Hollywood Death Star, was released in 2019, closing with a track titled «This is the End», which was framed as marking the project's conclusion.
