Blaxy Girls

Blaxy Girls were a Romanian all-girl rock band formed in 2007, active until their split in 2014. Over the course of their career they released two studio albums, positioning themselves within Romania's pop-rock scene with a sound blending rock instrumentation with pop songwriting sensibilities.

The group achieved their widest recognition internationally with the single «If You Feel My Love», which found an audience beyond Romania's borders and became closely associated with the band's identity abroad. «Dear Mama» was their other major international moment.

Domestically, tracks like «Fac ce vreau» and «Da» reflect their Romanian-language material, showing a group as comfortable with local pop-rock as with the more electronic-leaning remixes that circulated internationally, such as the «Chaow Mix» of their signature single. Blaxy Girls represent part of the wave of Romanian girl groups and pop-rock acts that gained cross-border visibility in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
