Blaq Diamond

Blaq Diamond is a South African Afro-pop duo from Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal. The two members met in 2010 on a school trip, where they took part in a music cypher on the bus and discovered a shared chemistry that would define their later work. They went on to sign with Ambitiouz Entertainment, one of South Africa's most prominent hip-hop and pop-leaning labels of the 2010s, which helped push their sound into the national mainstream.

Their debut album, Inqola, released in 2017, became their breakthrough, reaching number one on iTunes and establishing them as one of the country's leading Afro-pop acts. The duo built a reputation for blending smooth, melodic vocal harmonies with contemporary South African pop and Afrobeat-influenced production.

Songs such as «Woza My Love», «Love Letter», «Isoka» and «Messiah» showcase their romantic, radio-friendly style, often built around warm guitar or piano lines and call-and-response vocal interplay.
