Black Eyed Peas

Black Eyed Peas are an American hip-hop and pop group formed in Los Angeles, originally built around rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo. In their early years the group operated within the conscious, alternative hip-hop scene alongside acts like Jurassic 5 and A Tribe Called Quest, before adding singer Fergie in the early 2000s and pivoting toward a bigger, dance-pop-oriented sound.

That lineup produced the group´s commercial peak, with albums «Elephunk» and «Monkey Business» spawning hits like «Where Is the Love?» and «My Humps», and «The E.N.D.» pushing them further into EDM-infused pop with global smashes such as «I Gotta Feeling» and «Boom Boom Pow». Their sound during this era became known for blending rap verses, pop hooks, electronic production and dance rhythms, making them one of the best-selling acts of the late 2000s.

Fergie departed in 2018, and the group continued as a trio, later incorporating singer Jessica Reynoso, returning to more hip-hop-rooted material while still drawing on their pop instincts. Across their catalog, Black Eyed Peas have remained known for catchy, dance-floor-ready productions, social messages in tracks like «Where Is the Love?», and a willingness to chase whatever sound dominates the pop landscape.
