BJ Lips is an American hyperpop producer, singer and songwriter associated with the underground SoundCloud-driven hyperpop and digicore scenes that emerged in the early 2020s. Building an audience by posting beats on YouTube starting in 2020, she quickly moved into releasing her own vocal tracks, blending distorted, maximalist production with explicit, confrontational lyrics and a deliberately abrasive pop sensibility.

Her sound sits at the intersection of hyperpop and internet-native electronic music, marked by pitched-up vocals, glitchy sound design and provocative, often sexually explicit songwriting that plays with shock value and irony, a hallmark of the scene she came up in. She has collaborated frequently with other artists from this loose online community, producing tracks for and with figures such as Tila Tsoli and princess paparazzi.
