Benjamin William Hastings

Benjamin William Hastings is a Northern Irish-born singer, songwriter, and worship leader now based in Los Angeles, best known for his long association with Hillsong United and the wider Hillsong worship movement. As a writer and vocalist within that collective, he had a hand in some of contemporary worship music's most widely sung anthems, with «So Will I» standing as one of the defining congregational songs of the late 2010s, covered and performed by churches worldwide.

His sound sits at the intersection of anthemic modern worship and radio-friendly pop, favoring soaring melodic builds, atmospheric production, and lyrics centered on faith, surrender, and redemption. Following the controversies that engulfed Hillsong Church starting in 2020, Hastings stepped back from the organization in a ministry capacity and moved toward a solo career, releasing music such as «Abandoned» and «Homeward» that carries the same devotional core while operating outside the Hillsong banner.
