Ben Platt

Ben Platt is an American actor and singer best known for originating the title role in the Broadway musical «Dear Evan Hansen», a performance that earned him a Tony Award and made him one of the defining voices of contemporary musical theatre. He first gained wider recognition through the «Pitch Perfect» film series as Benji Applebaum and had earlier stage credits including «The Book of Mormon».

His musical output blends theatrical, emotionally direct songwriting with pop, rock, and electronic textures, drawing heavily on his background in musical theatre while carving out a distinct solo pop identity.
