Beach Weather

Beach Weather are an American pop-rock band formed in Massachusetts in 2015, fronted by Nick Santino, previously known as the singer and guitarist of A Rocket to the Moon. After that band's run in the pop-punk and Warped Tour scene of the late 2000s and early 2010s, Santino reinvented his songwriting with Beach Weather in a breezier, synth-tinged direction.

The band's early EPs, «What a Drag» (2015) and «Chit Chat» (2016), set the template for their sound: sun-drenched guitar hooks, laid-back grooves and hazy, romantic lyrics that echo the beach-pop and dream-pop revival of the mid-2010s indie scene. Their breakout single «Sex, Drugs, Etc.» became a streaming hit and introduced the band to a much wider audience, pairing an easy, hummable chorus with a moodier lyrical undertow.

Since then Beach Weather have continued to release singles and EPs built around the same warm, hook-forward pop-rock formula, carving out a niche between radio-friendly pop songwriting and the more atmospheric textures of indie rock. Santino's background fronting a well-known pop-punk act gives the band's material a pop songcraft that stands out within the genre.
