Bandalos Chinos

Bandalos Chinos are an Argentine band from Beccar, in the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires, formed in 2009 and made up of Goyo Degano, Tomás Verduga, Iñaki Colombo, Matías Verduga, Nicolás Rodríguez del Pozo and Salvador Colombo. Rooted primarily in rock and pop, the group folds in occasional funk grooves and electronic textures, giving their music a warm, danceable feel that stood out within Argentina's indie scene as it grew through the 2010s.

Their 2014 album Nunca estuve acá pushed further into electropop and synthesizers, a shift that helped define the band's sound and broadened their audience beyond Buenos Aires into the wider Latin American indie and pop circuit. Songs such as «Demasiado», «El Club de la Montaña» and «Tu Órbita» became key parts of a catalog marked by hooky melodies, layered guitars and synths, and lyrics that mix everyday observation with romantic longing.

Bandalos Chinos have grown into one of the more recognizable acts to come out of the Argentine indie-pop wave, touring widely across Latin America and building a devoted following through a sound that bridges rock band instrumentation with pop and dance sensibilities, while keeping their songwriting rooted in a distinctly local, conversational voice.
