Bajaga & Instruktori

Bajaga & Instruktori is a Serbian rock band formed in Belgrade in the mid-1980s, led by singer, guitarist and songwriter Momčilo «Bajaga» Bajagić, a former member of the influential Yugoslav new wave band Riblja Čorba. After leaving that group, Bajagić launched a solo project with his own backing band, Instruktori, and the outfit quickly became one of the most beloved acts of the Yugoslav rock scene.

The band's sound blends melodic new wave and pop-rock with warm, radio-friendly hooks and lyrics that often carry a nostalgic, romantic or gently ironic tone, distinguishing them from harder-edged Yugoslav rock contemporaries. Their accessible songwriting helped the band achieve enormous popularity across the former Yugoslavia that has endured across generations.

Songs such as «Moji drugovi», «Godine prolaze» and «Plavi safir» remain staples of the region's classic rock radio playlists and are widely regarded as part of the core canon of Yugoslav and Serbian popular music. Decades after their formation, Bajaga & Instruktori continue to perform and remain one of the most recognizable names in Balkan rock.
