Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio in Puerto Rico, is a singer, songwriter and producer who emerged from the island's underground trap and reggaetón scene around 2016, sharing tracks independently on SoundCloud before being signed to Hear This Music. His breakout single «Soy Peor» and features alongside artists like J Balvin helped establish him as one of Latin trap's defining new voices, blending melancholic melodies with reggaetón rhythm and blunt, autobiographical lyricism.

Over the following years Bad Bunny expanded far beyond trap, moving fluidly between reggaetón, Latin pop, dembow and rock-influenced experimentation across albums like X 100PRE, YHLQMDLG and Un Verano Sin Ti, the latter becoming one of the most streamed albums globally and pushing Spanish-language music deeper into the mainstream. Collaborations with artists such as Rosalía, Daddy Yankee and Jhay Cortez, alongside hits like «DÁKITI», «Safaera» and «Yonaguni», showcased his range and his role in globalizing urbano music.
