Backhouse Mike

Backhouse Mike, born Michael Corcoran, is an American musician, composer and record producer best known for his behind-the-scenes work scoring beloved children's and teen television. Through his long association with Dan Schneider's production company, he composed and produced music for a string of Nickelodeon hits including Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious, Sam & Cat, Henry Danger and Game Shakers, embedding his melodies into the soundtrack of a generation.

Beyond his television scoring work, Corcoran built a close creative partnership with Drake Bell, co-writing and producing Bell's early studio albums and performing as a member of his backing band for several years. That collaboration placed him at the intersection of pop-rock songwriting and screen music, blending catchy, radio-friendly hooks with the polish required for network television.
