Babylone

Babylone is an Algerian pop group formed in the Kabylie region in late 2012, singing primarily in Algerian dialect (Darija). The group quickly rose to national and regional prominence with their breakout single «Zina», a track that became a viral phenomenon across North Africa and the Arab-speaking diaspora, eventually amassing tens of millions of views online. Their sound blends contemporary Algerian pop with catchy, danceable melodies and colloquial lyrics that resonate widely with younger audiences.

The band's rapid success was recognized formally when they won both Best Algerian Group and Best Song for «Zina» at the Algerian Music Awards in 2014, cementing their status as one of the most talked-about acts to emerge from the Algerian pop scene in the early 2010s.
