Artcell

Artcell is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 1999, widely credited as one of the pioneers of progressive rock and metal in Bangladesh. Emerging from the country's underground band scene, the group built a devoted following through intense live performances and lyrics that blended introspective, often melancholic themes with technically ambitious instrumentation.

The band's sound draws on progressive and alternative metal influences while retaining strong melodic hooks, a combination that helped them cross over from the underground circuit into mainstream recognition. Tracks such as «Oniket Prantor», «Dhusor Somoy» and «Onnoshomoy» became anthems for a generation of Bangladeshi rock fans and are still considered staples of the country's alternative music canon.

Despite a relatively small discography, Artcell's albums are regarded as landmark releases in Bangladeshi music history, and their influence can be heard across many of the country's contemporary rock and metal acts. The band remains one of the most respected names in Bangladesh's independent music scene.
