ARIETE

ARIETE is the stage name of Arianna Del Giaccio, an Italian singer-songwriter born on 27 March 2002 in Anzio, near Rome. The name, meaning «Aries», comes from her zodiac sign. Daughter of journalist and writer Giovanni Del Giaccio, she taught herself guitar as a child and later piano, writing her first song at thirteen and switching to Italian lyrics a year later. After an early appearance on X Factor Italy in 2019, she launched her solo project with the independent single «Quel Bar».

Signing with the label Bomba Dischi in 2020, she released the EPs «Spazio» and «18 anni», establishing a confessional, diary-like songwriting style built around intimate piano and guitar arrangements and direct, emotionally raw lyrics about young adulthood, heartbreak and vulnerability. Her sound sits within Italian pop, close to the cantautorato tradition but filtered through a more contemporary, stripped-down indie-pop sensibility popular with younger Italian listeners.

Her debut album SPECCHIO followed in 2022, cementing her reputation as one of the most distinctive new voices in Italian pop. In 2023 she competed at the Sanremo Festival with «MARE DI GUAI», finishing 14th and reaching a much wider national audience. Songs such as «Amianto», «CICATRICI» and «Venerdì» remain among her best-known tracks.
