About the artist

Arianne Schreiber is a South African-born British singer best known for lending her voice to two songs written by composer Shiro Sagisu for Hideaki Anno’s Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise. Her most famous recording, «Komm, süsser Tod», closes the 1997 film The End of Evangelion and remains one of the most recognizable tracks in anime music history, prized for its deceptively upbeat pop-rock arrangement paired with dark English lyrics adapted from Anno’s original Japanese by Mike Wyzgowski.

A companion track, «Everything You’ve Ever Dreamed», was recorded during the same sessions but went unused in the film for reasons that were never made public; it later surfaced on official soundtrack releases. Schreiber traveled to Japan to record both songs and has spoken publicly about the experience with evident pride, calling it an honor to take part in the Evangelion project.

Beyond her anime work, Schreiber performs with a band rooted in electronica and has contributed vocals to other projects, including songs for the Rocky Horror Interactive Show computer game based on The Rocky Horror Picture Show. In 2016 she revisited her Evangelion legacy, recording a rearranged version of «Everything You’ve Ever Dreamed» with Sagisu for the compilation ShiroSAGISU Outtakes from Evangelion (Vol. 1), underlining how closely her voice remains tied to that franchise’s musical identity.
