About the artist
Arash Labaf is an Iranian-Swedish singer who moved to Sweden with his family as a child and built his career from Stockholm, becoming one of the most recognizable voices bridging Persian pop with Western dance and R&B production. His music blends Persian melodic sensibilities, Middle Eastern rhythms and vocal ornamentation with mainstream European pop and electronic beats, giving his songs a distinctly cross-cultural sound.
He rose to international attention in the mid-2000s with hits like «Boro Boro» and especially «Temptation», featuring Rebecca Zadig, which became a major club and radio hit across Europe. He went on to release a string of successful singles, including «Broken Angel», «One Day» and the Snoop Dogg collaboration «OMG», expanding his audience well beyond the Persian-speaking world while continuing to release music in Farsi for his home audience.
Over the years, Arash has worked with a wide range of collaborators spanning pop and hip-hop, cementing his role as one of the few artists to consistently bring Persian pop sounds into mainstream Western dance charts. His catalog remains popular both in Iran and across international dance and pop scenes.
