About the artist
Anna Vissi is a Cypriot-Greek singer, one of the most successful and influential performers in Greek popular music. Born in Cyprus, she moved to Athens as a teenager in the 1970s and quickly became a fixture of the Greek music scene, performing alongside major figures like Giorgos Dalaras and Charoula Alexiou early in her career. Over the following decades she built a reputation as a versatile vocalist able to move between laïko-influenced pop, dance, and dramatic ballads.
