About the artist
Lars Ankerstjerne Christensen, known simply as Ankerstjerne, is a Danish rapper, songwriter and producer. He began his career in 2007 under the alias Jinks before stepping out under his own name with the 2011 single «Tag Hvad Du Vil», a collaboration with fellow Danish artist Burhan G. That track opened the door to a self-titled debut album featuring major names from the Danish pop and rap scene, including Rasmus Seebach and Burhan G himself.
Ankerstjerne built on this momentum with the studio album For Os, which produced some of his best-known songs, such as «Lille Hjerte» and «Vent Og Se» — both of which became staples of Danish radio. His sound blends melodic Scandinavian pop hooks with a rap sensibility, giving his music broad crossover appeal within Denmark's urban and pop scenes alike. His most recent solo project, the EP Rapper, was released in 2016 and charted at number 14 on the Danish album chart.
Since then, Ankerstjerne has shifted focus toward songwriting, penning tracks for artists including Rasmus Seebach and Chris Burton. He also became a familiar face to Danish television audiences as a judge on the TV2 edition of X Factor in 2019 and 2020, cementing his standing as an established figure in Danish popular music beyond his own performing catalogue.
