Angelina Mango

Angelina Mango is an Italian singer-songwriter born in 2001 in Maratea, part of a deeply musical family: her father was the celebrated singer-songwriter Giuseppe Mango, and her mother is singer Laura Valente, formerly of Matia Bazar. After her father's death in 2014, she moved with her family to Milan, where she began performing and eventually posted early songs online under the name Nina before adopting her own name professionally.

She debuted on record in 2020 with the EP Monolocale and signed with Sony Music in 2021. Her profile rose sharply after joining the talent show Amici in 2022, reaching the final and releasing the EP Voglia di vivere, which included the summer hit «Ci pensiamo domani». Her sound blends pop with rap and R&B influences, marked by rhythmic, contemporary production and confessional lyrics.

Her biggest breakthrough came in February 2024, when she won the Sanremo Music Festival with «La noia», a song that captured wide public and critical attention and cemented her as one of the leading voices of a new generation of Italian pop. With tracks like «melodrama» and «gioielli di famiglia», she continues to build a catalogue defined by emotional honesty and genre-blending production, carrying forward her family's musical legacy on her own terms.
