Andrew Stein

Andrew Stein, better known by his stage name MandoPony, is an American musician who built a following within the nerdcore and video-game-music community. He became especially recognized for songs inspired by the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise and UNDERTALE, turning fan enthusiasm for those games into original pop-rock tracks with catchy hooks and narrative lyrics. Tracks such as «Just Gold», «Survive the Night» and «The Show Must Go On» became staples for fans of horror-themed video-game music.

He was formerly associated with the nerdcore-oriented label Give Heart Records and released the album Smoke & Mirrors in early 2018. That same year he served as a supporting act on NateWantsToBattle's Paid in Exposure Tour, appearing alongside Zach Callison and AmaLee, which broadened his exposure beyond the gaming-music niche.

Stein's career slowed considerably after 2020, when allegations emerged concerning inappropriate behavior toward minors and infidelity. He later issued a public statement addressing the claims, but reactions within the nerdcore community remain divided over his standing. His musical output has been sparser in the years since.
