Andrew E.

Andrew E., born Andrew Espiritu, is a Filipino rapper, actor, and comedic musician widely regarded as one of the pioneers of Pinoy rap and novelty hip-hop in the Philippines from the early 1990s onward. He built his career on humorous, streetwise, Tagalog-language rap tracks packed with wordplay and local slang, standing apart from more socially conscious contemporaries by leaning heavily into comedy and irreverence.

His songs, including «Humanap Ka Ng Panget!» and «Andrew Ford Medina», became widely known catchphrases and cultural touchstones in the Philippines, and several were adapted into or accompanied by successful film comedies in which he also starred, blending his music career with a parallel career as a movie actor and box-office draw.
