AlunaGeorge

AlunaGeorge is a British club-soul duo formed in London, consisting of vocalist Aluna Francis and producer George Reid. The pair met when Reid remixed a track by Aluna's earlier band My Toys Like Me, and their creative partnership grew into one of the most distinctive voices in UK electronic pop, blending skittering, bass-inflected production with Aluna's cool, R&B-tinged vocal delivery.

Their 2012 debut single «You Know You Like It» announced a sound that fused garage and future-bass rhythms with pop songwriting, and it was followed by their first full-length album, Body Music, in 2013, which established the duo as key figures in a wave of British electronic acts reshaping pop's relationship to bass music. Their 2016 follow-up album, I Remember, pushed further into R&B and mainstream pop textures while retaining their signature vocal character.

AlunaGeorge became equally known for extensive collaborative work across the electronic and dance world, appearing alongside artists such as Disclosure, Flume, Avicii, Baauer and KAYTRANADA, connections that placed them at the center of a transatlantic exchange between UK bass music and American electronic and R&B scenes. Songs like «I'm In Control», «Not Above Love» and «Mean What I Mean» reflect their ongoing exploration of pop hooks filtered through club and R&B sensibilities.
