Alok

Alok, full name Alok Achkar Peres Petrillo, is a Brazilian DJ and electronic music producer widely regarded as one of the most successful Brazilian dance-music artists internationally. He grew up around electronic and psytrance music through his parents, who were pioneers of the genre in Brazil and organizers of the well-known Universo Paralelo festival; Alok performed early on alongside his twin brother Bhaskar before pursuing a solo career centered on house and a style he describes as Brazilian bass.

His breakout came with the single «Hear Me Now», featuring Bruno Martini with vocals by Zeeba, released via Spinnin' Records, which brought him major international streaming success and helped make him one of the first Brazilian artists to achieve massive plays on global platforms. Since then he has become a fixture on the world festival circuit and Top DJ rankings.

Alok's sound blends tropical, melodic house and progressive elements with mainstream pop sensibilities, and his catalog includes collaborations across pop, electronic and R&B, reflected in tracks like «Headlights», «All the Lies» and «Never Let Me Go». He remains one of the most prominent ambassadors of Brazilian electronic music on the global stage.
