Alice Kristiansen

Alice Kristiansen is a Norwegian-American singer-songwriter who first built an audience on YouTube, posting acoustic covers of artists like Adele and The Civil Wars starting in 2011. Her channel grew into a large following, and in 2014 she released a debut EP of covers that included a widely shared version of Katy Perry's «The One That Got Away». Her career shifted in 2015 when actor Ashton Kutcher shared her cover of Taylor Swift's «Wildest Dreams» on social media, dramatically expanding her reach.

That exposure helped launch her original material, including the 2016 single «Moon and Back» and 2017's «Lost My Mind», a collaboration with producer and songwriter FINNEAS that became her most streamed track. She continued releasing pop singles through the following years, gradually moving from acoustic, stripped-down arrangements toward more polished indie-pop production.

In late 2019 she released the EP Streetlights, led by the single «Marilyn», which marked a further evolution in her sound and songwriting. Across her catalog, Kristiansen is known for ethereal, emotionally direct vocals and confessional lyrics, situating her within the indie-pop and singer-songwriter tradition that grew out of the YouTube cover era of the early 2010s.
