ALEKSEEV

ALEKSEEV is the stage name of Nikita Alekseev, a Ukrainian singer and songwriter born in 1993 in Kyiv. He first drew public attention in 2014 as a contestant on the fourth season of The Voice of Ukraine, which led him to launch a solo career the following year. His debut single, «Пьяное солнце» (Drunken Sun), released in September 2015, became a breakout hit across the Russian-speaking pop scene, and he followed it with his first studio album of the same name in December 2016.

Musically, ALEKSEEV works in a glossy, hook-driven pop-electronic style, blending emotive Russian-language balladry with dance-pop production. Tracks such as «Навсегда», «Океанами стали», «Как ты там» and «Снов осколки» showcase his taste for romantic, melancholic themes wrapped in polished synth arrangements.

His biggest international moment came in 2018, when he represented Belarus at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon with the English-language single «Forever», performing in the first semi-final. That appearance introduced him to a wider European audience and cemented his place as one of the more visible pop acts to emerge from the post-Soviet music scene in the late 2010s.
