Alejandro Fernández

Alejandro Fernández is a Mexican singer born in 1971 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and the son of legendary ranchera icon Vicente Fernández, making him part of one of Mexico's most storied musical dynasties. He officially launched his solo career in 1992 with his self-titled debut album on Sony Music, initially building his name within traditional ranchera and mariachi music before broadening into pop.

Over the following decades he became one of the most successful crossover artists from Mexico, moving fluidly between classic rancheras, romantic Latin pop ballads, and occasional forays into country and rap-inflected collaborations, as reflected in songs like «Las Mañanitas», «Mátalas», «No» and «Como Quien Pierde Una Estrella». His warm baritone voice and ability to bridge generations of Mexican music fans made him a fixture on Latin charts and a favorite for duets and reinterpretations of classic songs, including «Las Mañanitas», a staple of Mexican celebratory tradition.
