Alan Walker is a record producer and DJ born in England and raised in Bergen, Norway, from a young age, where he taught himself music production largely through online tutorials before beginning to share tracks on YouTube and SoundCloud. His breakthrough came with «Faded», a vocal reworking of his earlier instrumental «Fade», which became a global streaming and chart phenomenon after its release and established the melancholic, cinematic electronic sound he became known for.
