AJR

AJR is an American indie-pop band formed by three brothers — Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met — who grew up in New York City and began performing by busking in the city's parks and streets. Ryan Met serves as the group's primary songwriter and producer, shaping a sound that blends vocal-harmony pop influences from mid-century acts like The Beach Boys with modern electro-pop and hip-hop-adjacent production touches.

The band's breakout came with «I'm Ready», an upbeat, self-produced electro-pop single that gained traction through licensing placements and grew into a platinum-certified hit. AJR built their early career independently, self-recording and self-producing much of their work out of their family's apartment before eventually finding wider commercial success. Their sound has since evolved across releases into a maximalist, hook-driven style layering orchestral samples, glitchy production flourishes, and confessional, often anxious lyrics about growing up, mental health, and family.

Songs like «Bang!», «Weak», and «Burn the House Down» showcase the band's knack for pairing dense, theatrical arrangements with conversational, diary-like songwriting.
