About the artist
Adèle Castillon is a French singer, YouTuber and actress born in 2001 in Angers. She began building an audience as a young teenager on YouTube, where her offbeat, self-deprecating humor won her a broad following well before she turned to music professionally. That comedic sensibility, playful and slightly melancholic at once, carried over into her songwriting and helped shape a distinctive artistic persona.
In 2018 she formed the electropop duo Videoclub with Matthieu Reynaud. Their debut single «Amour plastique» became a sleeper hit, blending retro-tinged synths with breezy, ironic French pop lyrics, and the pair toured before releasing their only album, «Euphories», in 2021. Videoclub's sound drew on 80s and Italo-disco textures filtered through a modern, internet-native sensibility, and the project came to define a strand of French electropop nostalgia in the late 2010s.
After Videoclub disbanded, Adèle Castillon continued as a solo artist, releasing the album «Plaisir Risque Dépendance» in 2023 followed by the EP «Crèvecoeur (EP.I)» in 2024. Her solo work leans into more intimate, R&B and electronic-inflected pop, exploring desire, vulnerability and self-awareness with the same wit that marked her earlier work, cementing her as one of the more distinctive voices in contemporary French pop.
