Aaron Carter

Aaron Carter (1987–2022) was an American singer and rapper from Tampa, Florida, who rose to fame as a teen pop star in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, Aaron released his self-titled debut album in 1997 and broke through commercially with Aaron's Party (Come Get It) in 2000, which sold millions of copies worldwide and produced hits like the title track and «I Want Candy».

His music blended bubblegum pop, R&B, and light rap aimed at a young audience, and he became a fixture of early-2000s youth culture through Nickelodeon appearances and opening slots for the Backstreet Boys on their world tours. He continued releasing albums including Oh Aaron and Another Earthquake, navigating a public career that spanned music, acting, and reality television as he grew older.

After years out of the spotlight, Carter attempted a musical comeback in 2017 with the EP LøVë, revealing a more mature, personal sound. He struggled publicly with mental health and substance abuse issues in his later years. Aaron Carter died on November 5, 2022, at the age of 34, leaving behind a legacy as one of the defining teen pop idols of his era.
