100 gecs

100 gecs is an American electronic-pop duo made up of Dylan Brady and Laura Les, who met in high school and began collaborating remotely before fully forming the project. Known for a maximalist, genre-scrambling sound, the duo splices hyperpop, punk, ska, dubstep, emo and glitchy internet-era production into deliberately abrasive, hook-laden songs.

Their profile rose sharply following Les's appearance at the 2018 virtual Minecraft festival Coalchella, which led to the duo producing new material together, including early standout tracks «ringtone» and «money machine». These songs, later collected on their breakout 2019 album 1000 gecs, cemented their reputation as central figures of the emerging hyperpop movement, drawing acclaim from critics and a devoted online fanbase.

100 gecs' embrace of chaotic, pitch-shifted vocals and abrupt genre shifts helped define a new internet-native aesthetic, influencing a wave of hyperpop and experimental pop artists. The duo expanded their reach further with a full remix companion to their debut album featuring collaborators such as A. G. Cook, Injury Reserve, GFOTY and Fall Out Boy, and by touring as support for BROCKHAMPTON in 2019.
