Hallelujah
Leonard CohenLetra y traducción
[Verse 1]
[Verso 1]
Now I've heard there was a secret chord
He oído que había un acorde secreto
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
Va así: la cuarta, la quinta
The minor fall, the major lift
La caída menor, el ascenso mayor
The baffled king composing "Hallelujah"
El rey confundido componiendo "Hallelujah"
[Chorus]
[Estribillo]
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
[Verse 2]
[Verso 2]
Your faith was strong, but you needed proof
Tu fe era fuerte, pero necesitabas pruebas
You saw her bathing on the roof
La viste bañándose en el tejado
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
She tied you to a kitchen chair
Te ató a una silla de cocina
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
Rompió tu trono y cortó tu cabello
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Y de tus labios arrancó el Hallelujah
[Chorus]
[Estribillo]
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
[Verse 3]
[Verso 3]
You say I took the name in vain
Dices que tomé el nombre en vano
I don't even know the name
Ni siquiera conozco el nombre
But if I did, well, really, what's it to ya?
Pero si lo hice, en serio, ¿qué más te da?
There's a blaze of light in every word
It doesn't matter which you heard
No importa cuál hayas oído
The holy or the broken Hallelujah
El santo o el roto Hallelujah
[Chorus]
[Estribillo]
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
[Verse 4]
[Verso 4]
I did my best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
No podía sentir, así que intenté tocar
I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool ya
Dije la verdad, no vine a engañarte
And even though it all went wrong
Y aunque todo salió mal
I'll stand before the Lord of song
With nothing on my tongue but hallelujah
Sin nada en la lengua salvo hallelujah
[Chorus]
[Estribillo]
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
[Outro]
[Outro]
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
[Additional Lyrics]
[Letra adicional]
Baby, I've been here before
Nena, ya he estado aquí antes
I know this room, I've walked this floor
Conozco esta habitación, he caminado este suelo
I used to live alone before I knew ya
Vivía solo antes de conocerte
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
El amor no es una marcha victoriosa
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Es un Hallelujah frío y roto
[Additional Lyrics]
[Letra adicional]
There was a time you let me know
What's really going on below
Lo que realmente pasaba por dentro
But now you never show it to me, do ya?
Pero ahora nunca me lo muestras, ¿verdad?
And remember when I moved in you
Y recuerda cuando me movía en ti
The holy dove was moving too
La paloma sagrada también se movía
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Y cada aliento que tomamos era Hallelujah
[Additional Lyrics]
[Letra adicional]
Maybe there's a God above
Quizá haya un Dios allá arriba
But all I've ever learned from love
Pero todo lo que aprendí del amor
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew ya
Fue cómo disparar a quien te disparó primero
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
Y no es un grito lo que oyes en la noche
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Es un Hallelujah frío y roto
Preguntas frecuentes
