«Pyramids» es una épica de casi diez minutos dividida en dos partes, del álbum debut de Frank Ocean, Channel Orange (2012). La Parte I presenta a Cleopatra como una reina mítica del antiguo Egipto que es secuestrada y asesinada, narrada con un tono afrofuturista, casi de ciencia ficción, con guepardos, faraones y tumbas. La Parte II salta a la actualidad, donde "Cleopatra" se reinterpreta como una stripper que trabaja en un club llamado "la Pirámide", y el narrador es su empobrecido novio/proxeneta que la observa arreglarse para el trabajo y luego paga por su tiempo. La canción traza un paralelo entre la caída de poder de la reina antigua y la explotación y mercantilización de una mujer contemporánea, explorando temas de amor, poder, raza y dificultades económicas. John Mayer toca el extenso solo de guitarra que cierra el tema.
