Diana Ross es una cantante, actriz y productora discográfica estadounidense de Detroit, Michigan, que alcanzó fama internacional en los años 60 como voz principal de The Supremes, el grupo vocal insignia de Motown y uno de los grupos femeninos más vendidos de la historia. Su voz, ligera y reconocible al instante, ayudó a definir el sonido pulido y orquestal de Motown que llevó el soul al público pop masivo.
