Thom Yorke

Thom Yorke, born October 7, 1968 in England, is best known as the frontman, primary vocalist and creative force of the influential alternative rock band Radiohead, whose innovative albums reshaped the boundaries of rock music from the 1990s onward. His distinctive falsetto voice and restless artistic curiosity have made him one of the most respected figures in contemporary music.

Beyond Radiohead, Yorke has built a substantial solo and collaborative career exploring electronic and experimental territory. His debut solo album, The Eraser (2006), blended electronica with alternative rock and was met with critical acclaim and commercial success. He later formed the supergroup Atoms for Peace with Flea, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist Mauro Refosco, releasing the album Amok in 2013. His songs like «Black Swan», «Hearing Damage» and «Suspirium» — the latter from the Suspiria film soundtrack — reflect his ongoing interest in atmospheric, rhythmically intricate electronic composition.

In 2014, Yorke released Tomorrow's Modern Boxes independently via BitTorrent, a distribution experiment that became one of the most downloaded legal torrents of its time. Across decades, he has collaborated with artists such as Björk and Flying Lotus, cementing his reputation as an artist unafraid to challenge conventional music industry norms and genre boundaries.
