Teyana Taylor is an American singer, dancer, and actress born in 1990 and raised in Harlem, New York. She first emerged as a teenager on Pharrell Williams's Star Trak Entertainment before later signing to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music, blending her background as a dancer and choreographer with a bold, expressive R&B sound.

Her debut album VII arrived in 2014, but it was her sophomore effort K.T.S.E. (2018), executive-produced by Kanye West as part of his Wyoming album sessions, that cemented her as a distinctive voice in contemporary R&B, praised for its raw vocal performances and intimate production.
