Logic, born Sir Robert Bryson Hall II in 1990 in Gaithersburg, Maryland, is an American rapper who built his career on internet-driven mixtapes before breaking into the mainstream. Of mixed Black and white heritage, he channeled a complicated upbringing into introspective, technically dense rap that draws heavily on Wu-Tang Clan and, in his stage persona Young Sinatra, on the cool confidence of Frank Sinatra. He rose through a series of free mixtapes released between 2010 and 2014, signed with Def Jam Recordings, and built a devoted online fanbase known as the RattPack.

Logic's studio albums, including Under Pressure, The Incredible True Story, Everybody and YSIV, blend rapid-fire lyricism with concept-driven storytelling and sci-fi themes. His biggest commercial and cultural moment came with «1-800-273-8255», a song named after the U.S. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid, which became a Grammy-nominated hit credited with raising awareness around mental health and suicide prevention.

Beyond his own catalog, Logic has collaborated widely across hip-hop and pop, and has been vocal about representation and mental health throughout his career. He remains known as one of the more lyrically technical mainstream rappers of his generation, balancing conscious themes with braggadocio and nerd-culture references.
