SLANDER

SLANDER is an American DJ and production duo from Los Angeles composed of Derek Andersen and Scott Land. The pair met while studying at Icon Collective, a music production school, where they also formed a close friendship with fellow producer NGHTMRE. SLANDER rose to prominence through remixes before developing a signature style they call «Heaven Trap», blending trap-influenced bass music with euphoric, emotionally charged melodies and vocal-driven hooks.

Their breakthrough came with the 2015 «Nuclear Bonds» EP, a collaborative project with NGHTMRE released via Diplo's Mad Decent label, followed by the vocal single «Love Again» featuring WAVZ, which helped establish their sound to a wider dance music audience. Songs such as «Love Is Gone», «Superhuman», and «Potions» showcase their ability to merge festival-scale production with radio-friendly songwriting, often featuring guest vocalists who bring a pop sensibility to their electronic foundation.

In 2018, Andersen and Land co-founded the label Gud Vibrations with NGHTMRE, named after a track from their earlier EP, further cementing their role as both artists and tastemakers within the bass and trap music scenes. Through releases on labels like Never Say Die and Monstercat, SLANDER has become one of the more recognizable duos in modern dance music, known for pairing heavy drops with anthemic, emotionally resonant vocals.
