Rag'n'Bone Man

Rag'n'Bone Man is the stage name of English singer Rory Graham, who grew up in Uckfield in East Sussex. Steeped in blues and soul from a young age, he taught himself to sing by imitating artists like Muddy Waters, while also spending years as an MC in drum'n'bass and hip-hop scenes around Brighton. That dual background — deep blues phrasing filtered through a hip-hop sensibility — became the foundation of his distinctive gravelly, soulful voice.

After years on the underground circuit and a string of independently released EPs, he broke through internationally with the single «Human» in 2016, whose stripped-back blues-pop production and booming vocal delivery became a global hit and won him major awards recognition. The accompanying album of the same name cemented his place as one of the most striking new voices in British soul and pop.

Graham's music blends blues, soul, hip-hop and contemporary pop production, often built around minimal beats that leave room for his voice to carry the emotional weight of the songs. He has continued to release music exploring similar territory, collaborating across genres while staying rooted in the raw, weathered vocal style that first set him apart.
