Pretty Ricky is an American R&B group from Miami, Florida, that rose to prominence in the mid-2000s with a raunchy, radio-friendly take on R&B rooted in the city’s bass-heavy musical culture. The group consisted of Pleasure P as lead vocalist, alongside Spectacular, Baby Blue and Slick’em, who brought a distinctly Miami flavor to the R&B landscape, blending smooth harmonies with explicit, party-oriented lyrics that stood apart from more polished contemporaries.

Signed to Atlantic Records, the group broke through with their debut album Bluestars, which spawned hit singles such as «Grind On Me», «Your Body» and «Nothing But a Number», tracks defined by sultry grooves and unapologetically sexual themes that became a signature of their sound. Their success continued with subsequent releases, cementing them as one of the defining Southern R&B acts of the era alongside the region’s broader hip-hop and R&B crossover scene.
