PARTYNEXTDOOR, born Jahron Anthony Brathwaite on July 3, 1993, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer from Mississauga, Ontario. His stage name comes from a filter preset in FL Studio that produces a hazy, muffled sound reminiscent of the style associated with Drake collaborator Noah «40» Shebib. Before adopting the PARTYNEXTDOOR persona he recorded stripped-down R&B under the name Jahron B, material later compiled into the Jahron B Collection.

He rose to prominence after signing to Drake's OVO Sound label, releasing a run of projects including PARTYNEXTDOOR, PARTYNEXTDOOR 2, PNDCOLOURS, PARTYNEXTDOOR 3, COLOURS 2, the Seven Days EP, and PARTYMOBILE. His sound blends murky, atmospheric production with intimate, often melancholic vocals, placing him among the architects of the moody, slow-burning R&B sound that shaped the genre in the 2010s.

Beyond his own catalogue, PARTYNEXTDOOR is a sought-after songwriter, contributing to Drake's Nothing Was the Same, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, Views, and More Life. He co-wrote Rihanna's «Work», his first number-one single as a writer, and later «Wild Thoughts» by DJ Khaled, cementing his influence on mainstream R&B and hip-hop songwriting.
