Malcolm Todd is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Los Angeles who has become one of the leading voices in the new wave of bedroom-pop-inflected R&B. He began writing and recording music in high school during the COVID-19 pandemic, initially performing at parties before releasing his debut EP, Demos Before Prom, around his graduation, followed by a second EP, Shower Shoes, in 2023. His warm, lovesick, lo-fi-leaning sound has drawn frequent comparisons to artists like Steve Lacy, Omar Apollo, and Dijon, situating him within a generation of R&B-adjacent songwriters blending soul, funk, and indie sensibilities.

Todd's breakout came via TikTok, where singles such as «Art House» and «Roommates» propelled him to viral popularity and built a devoted cult following.
