Majid Jordan

Majid Jordan is a Canadian R&B and electronic-pop duo from Toronto formed in 2012, consisting of Bahraini-born singer Majid Al Maskati and producer Jordan Ullman. The pair met at the University of Toronto and began releasing music independently before catching the attention of Drake, whose OVO Sound label signed them after they featured on his single «Hold On, We're Going Home». That collaboration became the launchpad for a sound built on lush, atmospheric synths, warm basslines and Majid's smooth falsetto vocals, placing the duo at the intersection of moody electronic production and romantic R&B songwriting.

Their early EP «A Place Like This» established the template that carried into their self-titled 2016 debut album, followed by «The Space Between» in 2017, which featured labelmates PARTYNEXTDOOR and dvsn. Songs like «My Love», «Something About You» and «Gave Your Love Away» became signature tracks, showcasing the group's knack for pairing hypnotic production with emotionally direct lyrics about longing and devotion.

Majid Jordan continued to evolve on «Wildest Dreams» (2021), which included appearances from Drake, Swae Lee and Diddy, and returned to their roots with «Good People» in 2023, a nod to the name they originally performed under. Across their catalog, the duo has remained closely tied to the OVO Sound ecosystem while carving out a distinct identity as one of the genre's most consistent purveyors of nocturnal, synth-driven R&B.
