Leon Bridges is an American singer-songwriter from Fort Worth, Texas, who emerged in 2015 with a sound deeply rooted in classic soul, evoking artists like Sam Cooke. His debut album, Coming Home, arrived after years of financial struggle, during which he worked ordinary jobs while performing at open mics on the side. A chance encounter with musicians from the band White Denim led to his early recordings and eventual signing with Columbia Records.

Coming Home was celebrated for its vintage warmth and earned Bridges a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album, positioning him as a leading figure in the retro-soul revival alongside contemporaries exploring similar throwback aesthetics.
