About the artist
Kilo Kish is the solo project of Kish Robinson, an American artist, musician, writer and director from Orlando, Florida. She began making music while studying design in New York City, gaining attention with her 2012 debut EP «Homeschool». Since then she has moved fluidly between pop, rap, R&B and electronic textures, using her music as one facet of a broader multidisciplinary practice.
Her work consistently explores themes of identity, societal constructs, surveillance and speculative futures, often delivered with a cool, spoken-word inflected vocal style over minimal, art-pop production. She has collaborated with artists including Gorillaz, The Internet, Vince Staples and Childish Gambino, and her genre-blending approach has made her a distinctive voice in alternative pop and hip-hop-adjacent scenes.
Beyond music, Kish is an accomplished visual artist, filmmaker and performance artist, having held solo exhibitions at HVW8 in Los Angeles and screened film work at institutions including the Getty Center, the Hammer Museum and the Museum of Image and Sound in Brazil. This cross-disciplinary output informs her music's conceptual, visually driven sensibility.
