KAYTRANADA

KAYTRANADA, born Louis Kevin Celestin in Haiti and raised in Montreal, Canada, is one of the most influential producers to emerge from the 2010s dance and R&B underground. Starting out under aliases like Kaytradamus on forums such as OKAYPLAYER, he built a reputation through inventive remixes and beat-tape releases before signing to XL Recordings. His music fuses house, funk, hip-hop and R&B into a distinctive, groove-driven sound marked by shuffling drum programming, warped samples and deep basslines.

His 2016 debut album, 99.9%, brought guest turns from Anderson .Paak, Craig David and Vic Mensa, establishing him as a producer capable of bridging club music and song-oriented R&B. The follow-up, Bubba (2019), earned him a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album, cementing his place among the genre's most respected voices. Tracks such as «GLOWED UP», «GOT IT GOOD» and «YOU’RE THE ONE» showcase his knack for turning intricate production into radio-friendly, danceable songs.

Beyond his solo catalog, KAYTRANADA is one half of the hip-hop duo The Celestics with his brother, Lou Phelps, and remains a sought-after collaborator and DJ.
